Is professor of Architectural and Urban Design at University Iuav of Venice, Architecture and Arts Dept. He was director of the Architectural Design Dept, from 2006 to 2009. He taught too at the University of Trento, Faculty of Engineering (since 2003) and he was lecturer in many European Universities and in the Universidad Nacional de La Plata, Argentina.

The main field of his research is the relationship among art, architecture, city and landscape. On this subject he coordinated (with M.Cunico and E.Fontanari) in Venice the series of five International Conferences “Dessiner sur l’herbe”, 2004-2011 (proceedings published by Il Poligrafo, Padua). He directed the architectural magazine “Archint”, 1995-2000; now he is editor of the series “Space Landscape Architecture”, Gangemi Pbs, Rome.
